“He had a beautiful woman who loved him, a smart and strong boy who looked up to him, three home cooked meals every day, the same bed every night, pie whenever he wanted it - and a hole in his gut bigger than the one that had taken Sammy away from him.
I’m going to start this off by saying the majority of this content is not mine (just some of the text, like this bit!) - the stuff which is not mine belongs to or must be credited toward many fine folks, not the least of all being kindaskimpy, who may or may not be my personal, J2-shipping hero (but that is neither here nor there). I will attempt to credit everyone whose name I can locate, and add to it with more or less original context and proper quoting.
Also, this entire thing got fucking MAHOOSIVE and it’s all graphics and text intensive and stretches everyone’s pages about a million miles long.
Mirroring is the behaviour in which one person copies another person, usually while in social interaction with them. It is often observed among couples or close friends. Direct mirroring occurs where a person is facing one another. It is used by lovers, people with high familiarity or interest in one-another such as opponents in a contest. Postural mirror-image mirroring is where one person’s left side “matches” the other person’s right side. This shows strong rapport and empathy.
“When Jared or Jensen tells a story…” …and then the other one re-tells the same story with their own gestures and voices, and the other one is laughing just as hard as when they were telling it themselves.
I was reading something the other day about body language and people who mimic each others’ behaviors subconsciously… it spoke to their intimacy, and in my mind, I couldn’t help but recall the 20 million times I’ve seen J2 do precisely that.
“He’s a really close friend of mine. He and I have been through a lot together, through crazy highs and crazy lows, and just the mundane existence of reality. Uh, that having been said, we know how to talk to each other, so he can talk to me as a friend, and also, I love him.”
— Jared Padalecki, talking about Jensen Ackles, NerdHQ Panel
I don’t think you guys get it. That’s Dead in the Water they’re filming there, episode three, guys, episode fucking three.Jared and Jensen have been working together for a month, tops, and they are already goofing around and having fun by doing dumb things together.
A single month, and Jared has already brought reserved, shy and professional Jensen out of his shell enough to do this, they already feel comfortable enough with each other that Jensen just jumps and Jared just catches him, no hesitation, no questions asked.
Friendship, family, hidden gay love, whatever it is these two have… I ship it so hard.
I saw that someone put up another post, but I’m really aiming to make a super-long MASTER POST as both a tribute to their mirroring, stocked with plenty of examples, and also to their very obvious love… so…
And now that I’m done quoting other people, here is a gif I don’t have credits for, but I think should be in this anyway (as a nail-in-coffin example):
There is a lot more evidence out there in the world. This is just what I compiled in a little under an hour. Yes, I spent that much time on this. You’re free to reblog and add your own, seeing as this is just a giant mashup of things already out there.
I’m not attacking anyone else’s ship but with this massive post ofallpieces has so genuinely compiled… We rest our case. Their love is real.
The biggest reason Dean withers inside when Sam ins't around isn't their love for each other, it's because he has become co-dependent on taking care of Sam. It's been his whole life! And Sam hasn't paid for his mistakes dearly. Dean has! Because Dean is the one always having to clean up Sam's messes and put little Sammy back together again. If Sam were't so fucking selfish and arrogant and learned to stop hurting his brother, they could have a healthy relationship. They would be free to love each other and fuck like bunnies without the co-dependent bullshit and unnecessary pain he causes Dean. Sam should be ashamed of himself. He doesn't deserve Dean!

I think it’s part of the reason, yes…but I also think that one can’t ignore that there is love
It’s been his whole life!
True, but how’s Sam’s fault? How many times has Sam tried to get Dean to understand that he didn’t have to protect him? That he could deal with stuff? In Swan Song, Dean himself admits that he too needs to grown up and treat Sam like an adult.
And Sam hasn’t paid for his mistakes dearly. Dean has!
I beg to differ: the cage? A year and half in the cage isn’t punishment enough for whatever sin or mistake he might have made?
If Sam were’t so fucking selfish and arrogant and learned to stop hurting his brother, they could have a healthy relationship
The thing is, IMO, that some of his biggest fuck up come from wanting to protect Dean…from his john winchesteresque way of loving: someone hurts the person you love, you want revenge, you seek it with the single minded stubborness of a Winchester. I’m not trying to justify him: drinking demon blood was wrong and he should have said the truth to Dean right away, he should have trusted his brother’s instinct…but I also remember that he was manipulated into the whole thing…the heartbreaking thing about Sam is, IMO, that he’s always been a pawn into bigger schemes. Ever since before he was born. Imagine losing the most important person in your life, died to save you, imagine knowing…mere seconds after he’s dead, that you have enough power in you to block the demon that held his contract…imagine waking up every single day knowing that someone you love is suffering eternal torment for you, basically…imagine trying to deal with pretty much everything in order to free him and fail…and then comes someone who can give you an out: revenge…and something to numb your pain and remorses.
Then Dean comes back and he should have said the truth right away, I agree with you…but then we’d have had a 1 episode season 4:P
Can I point out that in Swan Song Sam’s love for Dean was so strong that it held Lucifer down? That his last words were of reassurance to Dean? That he tried to make sure that he would be okay, later?
I’m sorry anon, I love both of them so dearly that I can’t really see Sam as this horrible douche who hurts Dean over and over and isn’t deserving of Dean’s love. *shrugs*
So everytime I type something wrong or use the wrong word or the wrong tempus or grammar etc. I always get paranoid that someone who has english as their native language, will read what I wrote and spot all the mistakes I made and think, “Is she stupid or something??” or “Damn, her english is horrible, I am never going to speak to her”.
“Vorrei donare il tuo sorriso alla luna perché
Di notte chi la guarda possa pensare a te
Per ricordarti che il mio amore è importante
Che non importa ciò che dice la gente
Amore dato, amore preso, amore mai reso
Amore grande come il tempo che non si è arreso
Amore che mi parla coi tuoi occhi qui di fronte
Sei tu, sei tu, sei tu, sei tu, sei tu, sei tu, sei tu, sei tu
Il regalo mio più grande”—Tiziano Ferro (Il Regalo più grande)
